Wagyū from South Tyrol

The taste of Japanese-South Tyrolean meat

Grazing cows are not a rarity in South Tyrol. But at the Oberweidacherhof on the Renon a special place has found a special breed: the Wagyū Japanese cattle. Stefan Rottensteiner has been breeding them since 2014, feeding them with South Tyrolean field grass, the best hay, oats, barley, flax seeds and vinasse in order to give the meat a very intense flavour. Some even say that you can distinguish the taste of hay. Come and visit us, try the Alpine Wagyū and find out for yourself!
